Our Story: HALAL-BROWS & Sister’s Sublime

The story of HALAL-BROWS begins with Zohra, who developed a significant complex regarding her eyebrows at a very young age. As a teenager, she did not identify with standard hair removal methods and sought an alternative that aligned with her beliefs.

Around the age of 15, she began using a lightening cream to bleach the fine hairs on her eyebrows. At that point, it was purely a personal solution.

By observing her sisters and those around her, who used techniques like plucking or tinting, she gradually began experimenting with a different approach. Little by little, she combined bleaching the fine hairs with tinting the eyebrows, two techniques that already existed but were used separately.

In 2017, when she started as a hairdresser, she offered this technique as a service for the first time, initially under the name "eyebrows without plucking" and then "eyebrow restructuring without plucking," a name given by a friend. Today, this technique is more commonly known as the Halal Brow method.

Over time, demand grew and the method became increasingly well-known, gradually being adopted in different countries.

The Evolution into a Brand

It was really during the lockdown that demand exploded. A tutorial video created by Zohra reached several million views. This visibility brought as much positive feedback as criticism, but above all, a realization: there was a real need for this method.

That was the moment the idea of creating a true brand was born.

However, the path was complex. Searching for laboratories proved difficult, as many refused to develop formulas adapted for the face, focusing more on hair.

It was not until 2021 that a turning point occurred, thanks to a friend, a chemist specializing in business development, who believed in the project and began assisting her in her search for laboratories.

Between 2022 and 2023, several tests were conducted, and a partnership with a laboratory based in Italy was established to ensure compliance with European standards. Numerous rounds of back-and-forth were necessary to develop an appropriate formula, with efficacy and dermatological tests that were sometimes difficult.

In 2025, the final formula was validated.

A new stage followed: packaging, design, barcodes, and full regulatory compliance—a completely new world.

After several years of development, the brand officially launched in 2026.

Sister’s Sublime

Sister’s Sublime was born from this same dynamic. Zohra partnered with her sisters, Fatiya and Kheira, to create a 100% female-only salon in Nanterre, bringing together their expertise in hairdressing, eye beauty, and aesthetic treatments.
